ACI on Starz Comedy- A ten part series on what it takes to make it as a stand-up comedian. Follow six "would-be" comics as they go through orientation and workshop classes at the American Comedy Institute in New York City, culminating with their graduation - on stage performances at comedy clubs in The Big Apple. If you're there, you're funny anywhere.
The series is hosted by Michael Somerville, recently voted one of New York's "Ten Hot Local Comics" by The Improper magazine and a veteran of the ACI workshop. This new weekly original micro series will be aired every Friday at 7:50 pm starting Friday, July 21 on Starz Comedy.

ACI West Coast Comics Show- This Saturday, March 18th at 5:30pm ACI is hosting comics from the San Francisco Comedy College, directed by Kurtis Matthews. This show features a diverse crew of terrifically funny people, including Univerity on San Francisco Comedy Competition winner Ali Mali, who you may have seen recently on CNN.com, opening for the Axis of Evil comedy tour.

The One-Year Program class of '04 is having a reunion show on Wednesday, January 11th @ 9:00 PM. It's at the Sin Sin Bar, right at the southwest corner of 5th Street and 2nd Avenue. No cover, no minimum, just laughs.

Stephen Rosenfield is co-author and director of two one-person shows currently running at the Duplex, "How Do We Get Here From Here?" starring Betty Migler, and "Rock 2" with Rock Albers in his MAC award winning performance. In addition to serving as Director of the American Comedy Institute, Stephen is Director of the Comed'in Comedy Institute in Portugal and is the Professor of Comedy at William Paterson University.

Air Tabigue won the New York Asian American Stand Up Competition, The Take Out Comedy Show His prize is a trip to Hawaii where he will perform in front of 10,000 people on Waikiki beach. The performance is being taped for future airing on World Asian Television. The producer of The Take Out Comedy Show, Jameson Gong is also an alum.
Wendy Spero won the Bud Light Ladies of Laughter Contest in Atlantic City. She has been featured on Comedy Central's Premium Blend and is a regular performer on The Food Network's Hot off the Grill with Bobby Flay and is starring in a new sitcom on The Women's Entertainment Network, The Tinsley Bumble Show. Her critically acclaimed one woman show, Who's Your Daddy? is currently running in New York.
Dana Eagle won the Bud Light Ladies of Laughter in 1999. In 2003 she appeared at the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. Her stand-up was featured on Comedy Central's Premium Blend. She is performing at Luna Lounge, Gotham Comedy Club and Caroline's.
Stephanie Blum won the 2002 Bud Light Ladies of Laughter Competition at Madison Square Garden. She was chosen by HBO's US Arts Festival to be their 2003 "Breakout Performer". She was also a winner of Star Search on CBS-TV. She performs at such venues as the Mohegan Sun Casino, Carolines, The Comic Strip and Stand-Up New York.
Jessica Kirson was a finalist in the Bud Light Ladies of Laughter contest and a semifinalist on Comedy Central's Laugh Riots contest. Her stand up is featured on Comedy Central'a Premium Blend and in the top comedy clubs in New York and throughout the country.
Sean Conroy has performed stand up comedy on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Comedy Central's Premium Blend and Late Friday on NBC. His one-man show TAUGHT was selected for the 2001 HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. He appears regularly at Luna Lounge, Tinkle and Stand Up New York.

Karl Greenburg is a monlogue writer and playwright, whose latest, "For Real," will run for a month in October, then in Scotland next summer. Karl is a humor columnist for The Brooklyn Rail, an acclaimed literary paper in the county of Kings.
